Imagine this: You are sitting at a nice restaurant and your phone rings. As you finish your convo, the food arrives and you place your phone on the table. You enjoy a good lunch, pay your check and leave. As you sit in your car you realize you forgot your phone on the table. You go back in to find it gone and your server has no idea where it is. What happens now?

If you haven't taken steps prior to setup your phone for this situation, all you can do is contact your phone company and see if they can remotely wipe the phone. That might not always be the case however and there are steps you can take to protect the data on your phone, which these days is worth more than the phone itself…

I had an interesting conversation the other day with a customer. I was performing maintenance on his computer and decided to ask him 'So how are things?'. He started telling me about how he feels technology is not making things easier, but more complicated. I asked him to elaborate, to which he said: 'Rob, Nebraska is looking better all the time."

He went on to say that raising his children in today's tech oriented world has made his job as a father more complicated. His kids are on Xbox, Facebook, they have smart phones, etc. When they are all home watching a movie, he can hear his kids' phones vibrating. I'm assuming the vibrating phone is akin to fingernails on a chalkboard.

It's important to remember technology can keep you connected like never before....
